Kennett
National Bank Pledges $1.2
Million in College Scholarships!
Kennett National Bank is
guaranteeing $1.2 million
in scholarships over the
next 30 years to the Kennett
Area Higher Education Center
of Southeast Missouri State
University. The pledge represents
a long-term commitment to
provide contributions that
will enable scores of local
people to pursue a college
education.
Four $500 scholarships are
being awarded each fall,
spring and summer semester.
Since May 2001, when the
program began, Kennett National
Bank has provided 64 scholarships.
Marsha Blanchard, director
of Southeast Missouri State
University at Kennett stated,
“I am thrilled Kennett
National Bank is offering
these scholarships. When
we started taking applications,
the interest was phenomenal,
and it has continued to
be. Many students in our
area are unable to afford
college tuition for the
entire four years.”

program with KAHEC because
we believe anyone who gains
more education has the potential
to make a positive difference
